Babes in the Woods Hike Assistants

Friends of the Fells has a critical need to recruit volunteer assistant hike leaders for this extraordinary hike program for young children and families.

Babes in the Woods walks are free to the public, and are accessible to children in backpacks, jogging strollers, and on foot. Infants and toddlers, preschoolers, kids of all ages are welcome at all Babes in the Woods events! Babes in the Woods happens every Tuesday morning, weather permitting ... but we need YOUR help to keep this valuable program going. If you can commit even one Tuesday per month over the next 3-6 months please get involved!

No specific training or background is required - only a desire to help introduce young children and their families to the outdoors. From 10am-1130am on Tuesday mornings, you will assist veteran hike leader Terry Murray with managing the crowds of families who regularly come out for these wonderful events.

To apply for this position please complete our Volunteer Form. Be sure to select "Babes in the Woods" from the dropdown list of positions, and indicate any relevant skills and experience under "Additional Information."

Database Administrator

Friends of the Fells needs immediate and ongoing help to maintain and improve our database of members, donors and volunteers!  If you have a few hours per month available and have skills with MS Access and VBA programming, please consider volunteering to help support this critical aspect of our organization.  You would be required to attend one or two training sessions in the office, after which the work could be done offsite and at your convenience.  Work would include consolidating information from multiple sources, checking data for consistency or errors, and simplifying data entry and reporting tasks for the people who depend on this data.  To apply for this position please complete our Volunteer Form.  Be sure to select "Database Administrator" from the dropdown list of positions, and indicate your relevant skills and experience under "Additional Information."
